The founders of Avelta
Built by two road-plant engineers — Shailesh Thakor & Jagdish Thakor.
Avelta Road Equipment was started by two engineers — Shailesh Thakor and Jagdish Thakor — who together bring more than four decades of hands-on experience in road-construction machinery.
For over 20 years each, they designed, built, commissioned and serviced asphalt and road-construction plants for some of India's most respected equipment manufacturers — names like Apollo, Infratech, Shitla and Ashitech. From the drawing board to the shop floor to live job sites, they learned exactly what makes a plant reliable, what makes a spare part fit and last, and what contractors actually need to keep production moving day after day.
After decades working side by side on the very same plants, they decided to build under their own name. Avelta is the result — a company run by the engineers themselves, not middlemen. It combines deep design know-how, genuine-quality fabrication and honest, responsive after-sales support. Every plant we build and every spare part we supply carries that first-hand experience behind it.

Shailesh Thakor
Co-Founder & Director
Shailesh brings more than 20 years of plant-engineering experience to Avelta. Over two decades he has designed, built and commissioned asphalt drum-mix and batch-mix plants for some of the biggest names in the Indian road-equipment industry — working through the full cycle: process design, structural fabrication, drive and burner systems, control integration and live on-site commissioning.
His guiding principle has always been the same — build plants that run continuously and are easy to maintain. At Avelta he leads plant design and engineering, making sure every machine performs in real Indian site conditions from day one.
Jagdish Thakor
Co-Founder & Director
Jagdish has spent more than 20 years on the shop floor and at job sites — fabricating, assembling, installing and servicing road-construction plants for leading manufacturers. He knows every component by hand, which is exactly why Avelta's plants and spare parts fit right and last.
At Avelta he leads fabrication, quality control and after-sales service. He personally stands behind every part and repair the company supplies, so contractors get genuine quality and quick support — never left waiting for their plant to run again.
Avelta was founded on a simple conviction: a road-construction plant is only as good as the hours it runs and the speed it's back up when a part wears. Everything we build and stock is organised around that reality.
Our range spans stationary and mobile asphalt plants, wet mix macadam and concrete batching plants, and truck-mounted bitumen equipment — each configurable to the output, mix and site of the project in front of it. Behind every plant sits a deep catalogue of genuine, precisely-toleranced spare parts, from fabricated structures to burners, drives and control systems.
