Overview
The Avelta Bitumen Heating & Storage Tank (AVL-BST) safely stores bitumen and keeps it at the correct, uniform working temperature ready for the mixing plant or distributor. A heavy insulated shell, an efficient thermic-fluid or direct-fired heating system and accurate temperature control cut fuel use, protect binder quality and keep the plant fed without waiting.
Built for continuous Indian road-project duty, every AVL-BST tank uses thick mineral-wool insulation, seamless heating coils and a robust bitumen transfer pump, so contractors get stable temperature, low heat loss and long, trouble-free service life. Horizontal and vertical models are available from 10 KL to 50 KL.

Working Principle

Fill
Bitumen is decanted or pumped into the insulated tank through the top or side inlet.

Heat
A thermic-fluid coil or direct burner steadily raises the bitumen to spraying/mixing temperature (150–180 °C).

Hold
Thick insulation and thermostatic control hold a uniform temperature with minimal fuel and heat loss.

Dispense
A jacketed bitumen pump transfers hot binder on demand to the plant, distributor or sprayer.
